BLACK-EYED SUSAN
Rudbeckia hirta Composite Family Compositae
June - October Common
Description: From 1 to 3 feet tall, Stem and leaves are hairy, and mostly basal, stem leaves are narrow and with out stalk; basal leaves are larger and with long stalk. Rays are yellow to a golden yellow with dark brown to almost black center (Flower disk).
