Mare's Tail Flower Stalk

MARE'S TAIL
April - June common
Description: From 6 to 12 inches tall. Leaves are coarse and grass like, note the black on stem where leaf connects. Plant looks like small pine tree. Flower stalk is on heavy waxy stem with numerous flowers. Plant was used by settlers and gold miners to scrub there dishes and pots and pans. Natures brillo pad.
