Obolaria virginica Gentian Family  Gentianaceae
March - May  Infrequent
Description: From 1 to 3 inches tall, thick stem. leaf and flower branchs coming off directly across from each other. Leaves and flowers coming out in the same location. Leaves are waxy redish under side. Flowers are tubuler in shape and white in color. I haven't been able to find this plant in any book.

Location: Rich woods, bottoms
