Description: From 2 to 8 feet tall. Leaves are oval, rounded or pointed with a tiny spine at the tip. Leaves unroll as the begin to open. Flowers are in clusters varying in color from light almost white pink to a deep Hot Pink. Similar to R. Roseum but stamens are longer and flowers are odorless. Buds, leaves and twigs lack the woolliness of the roseum. I'm not sure about the one pictured here , if its the early or pink, it shows characteristics of both. The sent of the early with slight woolliness and the long stamens of the pink with in its bloom time (May - June)Location: Swamps, Woods
