GREAT RHODODENDRON
Rhododendron maximum Heath Family  Ericaceae
June - July Infrequent
Description: From 5 to 40 feet tall, Leaves are large leathery elongated ovals, dark beneath. Flowers are white spotted with green and or orange, some flowers may be pink. Flower stems are sticky. Has a faint sand wood fragrance.

Location: wet woods and swamps
