Description: From 1 to 3 feet tall. Leaves are divided into groups of 3 pointed and toothed segments. Flowers are small aggregate clusters sparse. Roots and stems have the taste and oder of anise or licorice. However another plant is the source of true licorice.Location: Steam banks, moist woods
