THIMBLEWEED
Anemone virginiana Crowfoot  Family  Ranunculaceae
July - August Common
Description: From 2 to 3 feet tall. Leaves are heavily viened and toothed. Flowers on top of long leaf less stalk, often greenish white, fruit head ressembles a thimble.

Location: Dry open woods
