WILD PINK
Silene caroliniana Pink Family  Caryophyllaceae
April - June infrequent
Description: From 2 to 8  inches  tall. Leaves are in pairs and broadly or narrowly oblong, usually widest near the tip. The plant often grows in dense colonies. Flower color from white to deep red pink.

Location: Open rocky banks, open wood borders
