COMMON MULLEIN (YELLOW)
Verbascum thapsus Figwort Family  Scrophulariaceae
June - September Common
Description: From 3 to 6 feet tall, Leaves are thick and hairy with a blanket like texture. Bi - annual beautiful rosette first year with leaves about a foot long, second year flower stalk emerges with leaves decreasing in size up the stem. Many flower heads can form of one main head with multiple flowers that open in the early morning hours. Seeds are tiny and plant was and may still be used ase a herb.

Location: Waste grounds, fields and roadsides.
